Mrs. Vanmala Kawadkar, hailing from Nandbagh, Indore, found success in making fabric jewelry from garment wastage under MEDP. Before the training, she earned Rs. 3,000-5,000 monthly. After the program, her income increased to Rs. 10,000-12,000 per month. Vanmala not only owns a general store but also sells handmade jewelry products, showcasing the power of skill development.
Mrs. Kusum Namdev, based in Indore, transitioned from earning nothing to generating Rs. 6,000-7,000 per month by creating and selling home decorative items from waste materials. Her journey exemplifies how creativity and training can lead to financial independence and a thriving small business.
