Pratigya Mahila samanvit Vikas Bachat avam Sakh sahakari sansatha Maryadit (PMSVBASSSM) has been formed by PriyaSakhi Mahila Sangh Indore (M.P). It has been registered under M.P. Swayatta Sahakarita Adhiniyam 1999, in 7th July 2006 registration no was JR/IND/214, but now because of desolation of M.P Swayatta Sahakarita Adhiniyam 1999, it has been converted in M.P. Cooperative Society Amended Act 2012 since 5th September 2013 by Cooperative department. The new changed Name and Regt no of PSVSSSM as per new Act is “Pratigya Mahila Samanvit Vikas Bachat avam Sakh Sahakari Sansatha Maryadit and Regt. No. is JR/IDR/2013/221.
In April 2003, Priya Sakhi Mahila Sangh (PMS) realized that with the growing demand for microfinance, general finance and other Banking products and services, the society would face lot of limitation to serve these all services to our SHGs hence, the Board of Directors decided to shift these all products and services from firms and society to co-operative structure and also providing livelihood services to the community and organize capacity building programmes through co-operative institution. There-fore in 2006, PMS got registered a co-operative society PMSVBASSM
PMSVBASSSM has a three member team specially engaged for providing activity based training to its members. These training are conducted under Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDP) on various activities including sweet box making, garment stitching. Regular Health camps are also conducted and given general medicine to the attended members.
PMSVBASSSM activities are primarily aimed at eradicating poverty with particular emphasis on empowering women. Revolving around these objectives and stakeholders, PSVSSSM’s interventions are focused around its 4 thematic areas of:
To empower the poor women in rural areas, to improve their economic and social status and increasing their opportunities for making productive economic investment. The long-term vision of PMSVBASSM is to build a society ‘where citizens have equal and sufficient economic and social opportunities to improve their standards of living and where they can contribute productively towards the overall development of the country’.
Develop the clients’ literacy and financial literacy to move from informal banking to formal banking by providing quality and innovative financial, non financial and banking services and provide the accessible social security products (Insurance, Pension etc.) to secure the future uncertainties.
